When is counseling appropriate?
Counseling is appropriate
when you recognize that you are now ready to work with a compassionate and trained mental health professional to get help with any of the following issues in your life:
  • You are tired of struggling with depression, anxiety or fears.

  • You are experiencing conflict with family members and in work relationships and are often irritable or angry.

  • You have parenting concerns.

  • You are trying to cope with past emotional, physical or sexual abuse.

  • You notice changes in your ability to concentrate, remember, make decisions, sleep and sexual behaviors.

  • You have lost motivation and pleasure in your usual activities and don't feel like socializing or being with other people.

  • You are smoking, drinking and using drugs more frequently.

  • You are confronting a difficult life transition such as a career change, divorce, loss of a loved one.

  • You are having difficulty coping with illness or physical incapacitation.

  • You are experiencing high levels of stress or feeling overwhelmed by life issues.

Licensed clinical social workers are professionals who are trained to assess, diagnose and treat emotional, behavioral and relationship problems.

Please call me for a free telephone consultation so I can answer your questions and explore how counseling can meet your needs.
